Editorial Profile:

Living City is a full-color magazine, promoting the ideals of unity, dialogue and communion of the Focolare Movement. Established in 1967, Living City is published 11 times per year, and is an excellent source of hard-to-find positive news.

In these divided and troubled times, Living City stands apart—offering a different view, a better view, a more positive view. It advances the concept of unity, the same unity for which Jesus prayed to the Father, “May they all be one” (Jn 17:21).

Winner of the 2004 and 2006 Egan Awards for Journalistic Excellence, of the 2008 Knights of Columbus McGivney Award, and of 2005 trough 2010 Catholic Press Association awards, Living City is a CPA member and a participating publisher in the Unified Magazine Program of Paulist Press. Living City is a registered trademark of the Focolare Movement.

Living City features articles on the spirituality of communion and the experiences of putting the Gospel into practice—in our parishes, in our family lives, in our work environment and among our youth. It covers developments in interreligious and ecumenical dialogue, and features profiles and interviews with people who are making a difference in the fields of education, economics, the environment, art, science, medicine and culture.

Circulation:

Nationwide and international distribution. Average paid circulation: 7,000 with a readership of 25,000. A recent readership survey revealed that over half of them discuss issues published in the magazine and pass it along to others.
