"I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!”(Lk 12:49)
New look
Dear Readers,
We consider you as part of our family, and so we wanted to share with you some recent news pertaining to Living City. You may have noticed some changes in the magazine’s appearance and content. We attribute this to the fruit of hard work and special help from God to shout out our message of unity and love.
This past year, in fact, we received what we consider providential in many different ways: an anonymous donation gave us the possibility of improving the look of our magazine, to make it more contemporary, competitive and attractive. And what a treasure we found in meeting an exceptional person, an expert in magazine design, who is presently coaching us in this exciting process. Not everyone notices the actual changes, but many more subscribers actually enjoy reading the magazine, and comment on its stories.
We hope this will translate into a needed increase in subscriptions. We hope you feel like passing on your copy to others, inviting them to receive their own.
We often published stories about the Cube of Love, a wonderful teaching tool that fosters love and peace-building. This year we published 3,000 Cube of Love books and instructional guides, aided by Our Sunday Visitor, and they will be distributed in schools around the U.S. We have received much positive feedback from teachers and parents who found the program successful and formative.
Through our participation at the National Catholic Educators Association convention in California last April, many superintendents, principals and bishops expressed their interest in the Cube of Love program. Tell your nearby school’s principal about it, and remember to roll the cube online at livingcitymagazine.com — the right way to start your day!
Enjoy the powerful stories you’ll find on these pages. We’d like to hear your comments! Write them online, or send an e-mail to: clare@livingcitymagazine.com.Clare Zanzucchi
