With love, everything is possible.

Dear Readers,

Two years ago, on March 14, Focolare founder Chiara Lubich concluded her earthly journey. We dedicate this issue to her, who established this magazine as a mean for fostering the ideals of peace and unity in today’s world.

In her unassuming way — although the New York Times called her “one of the most influential women in the Catholic Church” — Chiara made inroads in the most varied fields, such as economics, interfaith relations, education and international relations.

All this stemmed from her experiential discovery of God’s immense love, which she shared with everyone throughout her life.

And, as you will read on the article "Beyond life’s dark lines, discover love",

with love, everything is possible

Countless people around the world have come to know this truth not only directly from her, but also through the lives and actions of many who made their own the resolve to work and live for the unity of the human family.

In this issue you’ll be able to meet some of them and perhaps find in their inspiring stories some of the same expectations, obstacles and situations that you experience. Somehow they continually discover love, find the light to go ahead and make a difference in their world.

May you meet many new friends on these pages,

Clare Zanzucchi
